“Fit After Eight" is the name of the training series presented by the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma (DGOU), which has been training doctors since 2008 in parallel to their resident training for their exams to specialise in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. The course serves to consolidate the foundations and central skills and knowledge required to enter into the field of O&U. By the end of the advanced training, the course participants are fit for the qualifying exam from the medical association and master the various different demands and responsibilities that will be placed on them in their day-to-day careers as future specialists in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.

The advanced training course, “Fir After Eight” is endorsed by the German Society for Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery (DGOOC), the German Trauma Society (DGU) and the Professional Association for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (BVOU).
